Recognition of Others:
Lately, more and more people are showing what makes America GREAT! They go the extra mile to serve others and smile while doing it. These folks are Every Day Heroes!
Service is the key word here. Something which has been missing from our society “en masse” for quite a while. I would like to take a moment to direct your attention to a few folks who are examples of how to give service to others.
The little things make a difference: Recently I made a purchase online from large retailer (Home Depot at Riverdale, Utah) and after a short time my package arrived at the store.
Being illiterate in the stores locker system and how it works I asked for some help. The young woman, who had broken her arm in an accident took me by the hand and walked me through the process. She was delightful and personable. Most of all she was happy to be giving service. This young lady deserves the apperception of WHO she is as it is infectious.
Above and beyond: As you may have noticed I now have a website. Many will say: “… it’s about time Frank”, but I am not one to jump at every fad which comes out… and passes without fanfare. I stewed and hemhawed for a long time to create what I thought would be a nice presentation of who I am and what I do.
Over the years I have created many such expositions on paper and decidedly discarded them. For me, it is extremely difficult to espouse my virtues (or lack thereof) publicly. I find it easier to talk about other people. Jake Cannon at JakeCannon.site has been a friend and on my radar for a long time and took a look at one of my website schemes and offered to help construct what is seen here.
Jake went the extra mile and coded a workable display of my skills and how to work better with what I have to offer as a Voice Over Talent. On top of that, after working with me on conceiving the website we still remain friends (I hope). What I am trying to say is: authoring the site is what he does and He does it with a smile. He will do that for you too if you are in need.
Up and Coming: Oftentimes we find someone who is developing skills which are incredible yet are not recognized for what they have achieved already. Bruce Hoar is a Voice Over talent who has sultry tones which are great for many genres in advertising and promotion. To be honest, when he promotes himself to the industry I will be a bit afraid as he will most likely take some of my business away. He is that good.
What sets Bruce apart from others is not the voice skills alone, it is a sincere desire to be of value to others. Bruce distributes this service in his personal life as well as in business.
Recognition: These abilities are just a few examples of genuine people who reveal their personal values every day to every one. I like to be awake (not “woke”) enough to let people know I see what they do and appreciate it even if I am not the one receiving the service. I cannot stress enough the need to let others know we recognize their efforts. Doing this small courtesy more often is how our society in general will become happier, and so will you.
Take a moment in your life to recognize the people who deliver good service and let them know you perceive their personal virtues.
These are some Frank Words, I hope you take them to heart.
